Portland, Oregon was ranked best bike city in the US for 2012. Portland earned Platinum status from the League of American Bicyclists, and is the only large city to do so.

The Rose City features over 180 miles of bike lanes, and nearly 80 miles of stand-alone bike paths. It was the first US city to utilize bike boxes at dangerous intersections, and is home to many bike shops. Six of every 100 commuters pedal to work here, more than any other major US city, and that number is on the rise.

  • Sustainability: PPP works mainly with businesses whose business models put a high priority on sustainability. And, of course, what could be more sustainable than making deliveries by bike? Every delivery that PPP makes is one less unnecessary car trip.
  • Community: Portland pedal power is not just a moneymaking venture. It’s a business run and owned by enthusiastic cycling aficionados. They participate in, publicize, and sponsor numerous Portland cycling events, such as the Worst Day of the Year Ride.

How Does Portland Pedal Power Work?

To order from PPP, simply visit their website, and select from the wide variety of goods they offer. You can pay directly through PPP, online through Paypal, or pay cash on delivery. Delivery times are Monday-Friday between 11:15am and and 2:00pm, or on Wednesday-Saturday between 5:30-9:00pm, with 24 hour notice. And, if you need something special, PPP offers custom delivery orders. Just contact them, and they can accommodate special requests.
